How to Submit a Request

- Subject line: Account Deletion Request (or Data Deletion Request)
- From: Use the email address associated with your app account
- Include:
- Your full name (optional)
- The email address used in the app (required)
- Specify your request:
- Delete my account and all associated data, or
- Delete specific data types (e.g., saved articles, likes, read history), or
- Provide a copy of my data (data access request)
- Any additional details that will help us verify your identity
Identity Verification
For security, we may ask you to verify your identity using the email address linked to your account. If you contact us from a different email, we may request additional information to confirm ownership before proceeding.
What We Delete
- Core account: email, profile, and identifiers
- Activity data: saved articles, likes, read history
- Other personal information stored in our systems that is linked to your account
What We May Retain
We may retain limited information where required by law, for fraud prevention, or to enforce our terms. When retention is required, we will restrict access and retain only what is necessary for the required period.
Processing Time
- We aim to acknowledge requests within 3 business days.
- Deletion requests are typically completed within 15–30 days, depending on the complexity of the request and system load.
- We will notify you by email once your request has been completed.
Access and Correction
You may also request:
- A copy of your personal data held by us (data access)
- Corrections to inaccurate information (data rectification)
Impact of Deletion
Deleting your account is permanent. Once completed:
- You will lose access to your account and any stored activity (e.g., saved articles, likes, read history)
- This action cannot be undone
