Counter in JavaScript

Problem Statement:

We are given a number, we need to perform some operations according to specific conditions. We will ask the user to enter db or ib or exit, if the user enters db, we should decrease number by 2(if the number is even) and decrease the number by 1(if the number is odd). if the user enters ib, we should increase the number by 5(if the number is even) and increase the number by 10(if the number is odd) and should exit the program if the user enters exit.

Code for the counter in JavaScript:

let myNum = 10;
while(true){
button = prompt('Enter button type, (db for decrease button, ib for increase button):')
if(button=='db'){
	if(myNum%2==0){
	  myNum = myNum - 2
	  console.log(myNum)
	}else{
	  myNum = myNum - 1
	  console.log(myNum)
	}
}else if(button=='ib'){
  if(myNum%2==0){
    myNum = myNum + 5
    console.log(myNum)
  }else{
    myNum = myNum + 10
    console.log(myNum)
  }
}else if(button=='exit'){
  console.log(myNum)
}
}
